I thoroughly enjoyed the holiday, excellent company and guide, I would give the guide 10 out of 10. The walks were excellent, well planned and discussed with us beforehand.

Spending time with people who share my love of walking was a great experience.
My first time in the Lake District and my first time with WalkingWomen – it’s been terrific.
The perfect antidote to a stressful life. I didn’t want to go home and I can’t wait to come back.
These holidays are the most relaxing holidays I’ve ever had.

Everything was perfect and I cannot thank you enough for providing me with these opportunities to have a great time; terrific walks in marvellous company. I get more out of every WW holiday I take; I always come back feeling energised and keen to take on new challenges in walking and in other areas. These holidays bring out potential that had remained untapped until now.

Having just returned from a taster weekend in the Cotswolds, I can thoroughly recommend trying this.
It was one of the best weekends I have had, walking with lovely, friendly ladies, a competent and friendly guide (Gaynor), who looked after us all above and beyond the call of duty.
I would not have dreamt of heading off on any of these walks alone.
The experience has left me feeling empowered and confident that I can do more of the same.
can’t wait to book my next one. Many thanks to Gaynor and to Walking Women.Meg Carter

I had a really lovely time and would like to extend my thanks to Gaynor for being such a great guide. Gaynor was very welcoming to us all and created a relaxed and friendly atmosphere within the group. She was informative and knowledgeable about the area, the features of the landscape, the wildlife [we saw a deer, a buzzard, and heard and saw skylarks] and the points of interest – iron age hill fort, chalk horse carved into the hillside, stone monument.
Gaynor enhanced the day by offering us the choice of an alternative to the five-mile walk we were expecting and took us on a four miler from our starting point, then we moved on to Avebury where Gaynor demonstrated a wide knowledge of the Neolithic stone age as she led us around the stone circle. The weather which had started cloudy with a chance of rain turned into a lovely sunny day when we reached Avebury and we all enjoyed sitting together to have our picnic lunches whilst quizzing Gaynor about every aspect of a Walking Women holiday. Everyone in our small group of five “tasters” enjoyed the day and seemed sold on the idea of going on a WW holiday.

A very enjoyable way to spend time outdoors with a group of such friendly people. Our group leader Sian paced the walk just right for us and brought the history of the area to life – so interesting. She even increased my confidence in reading a map! I would definitely be looking at their events calendar to see when I could join them again.
