Miriam is a nature writer who lived and worked on the Isles of Scilly for five years and now her family are grown up she loves bringing groups here to discover this hidden gem for themselves. She lives not far away in Devon, but comes back whenever she can.
Miriam is very sociable and loves telling stories that bring places to life, but equally she is happy to walk peacefully absorbing the surroundings with no words. Miriam is a keen bird watcher and often volunteers for wildlife trusts surveying bird populations.
Miriam is the author of Windfall , Otter Country, In Search of the Wild Otter and Owl Sense – a work of non fiction which studies the mythology around Britain’s own owl species.
