Box Hill lies within the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Beauty and is a great location if you fancy a hill walk and a chance to spend a day in a beautiful area of the North Downs. The summit is the 12th highest in Surrey and a gentle climb. It gives you the chance to try a hill if you have been used to walking on the flat and would like to try and climb a little higher. Our guide will be guiding you and helping you discover this great walk.
Dorking makes it very accessible with it’s train station and good connections to London and further afield.
Dorking is a pretty small town to spend some time in and you could also visit Denbies Vineyard if you are interested in English wines. Lots to do for a weekend.
The walk will depend on the weather and is at the discretion of your guide.
This is a day walk to explore Box Hill and give you the chance to build confidence in hills and longer walks.
Walks in this area take in woodland, chalk down land, farmland and riverside with breathtaking views and variety.
