Transport to Guernsey – You can fly direct from the UK from a number of airports. You can take a return ferry from Poole. https://www.condorferries.co.uk/ The journey lasts about 3 hours, departs 11.30, arriving 14.40 on the 26th June. Departure on 1st July at 19.25 arriving back into Poole at 22.35.

Chrissie, our guide, will be on the 11.30am Ferry from Poole on Sunday June 26th arriving 14.40 – for anyone wanting company.

DETAILS

A chance to discover the gorgeous island of Guernsey with trips to Sark and Herm included. We are staying in lovely accommodation in the heart of St. Peter Port. Sandy beaches, woodland pathways, coastal cliffs and hidden coves – a treasure trove waiting to be explored.

ITINERARY

Day 1 – Arrive by 5pm for a welcome Meet and Greet with your guide Chrissie. For those who arrive earlier there is plenty to see or just relax at the hotel.

DAY 2 – We will take the bus out to Jerbourg Point and walk back to St Peter Port via the coastal path and the lovely Fermain Bay, 6 miles of coastal walk. To increase our walking this day, we can explore the harbour and Maritime Museum (optional and not included in price), or take time to look around the lovely shops in this beautiful town.

DAY 3  – We will get the bus out to Icart point and walk west to Le Gouffre. We pass Le Petit Bot Tower, in the beautiful Petit Bot bay. From here we head inland and will visit the German Occupation Museum (Not included in the holiday price but worth a visit to understand some of the islands history). From here we will continue our walk and for those interested we will stop and visit the German Military Underground Hospital (Optional and not included in the price). From here we will get a bus back to St Peter Port.

DAY 4  – TRIP TO HERM  –  4 miles walk. This beautiful little Island is a must. It has a circular walk and also a hotel where we can get some refreshments.

DAY 5 – TRIP TO SARK  –  walk 5-6  miles

Ferry included in the price.

Sark is a bigger Island than Herm but no vehicles are allowed on the Island, which has its own laws, court and prison! There are places on Sark to get some refreshments.

DAY 6 

Return home. For those leaving later on in the day, there will be time to explore St Peter Port. Chrissie is leaving on the last ferry on Friday July 1st so will be offering a morning walk.
