If Iceland is on your bucket list then this trip is for you. We partner with Viking Women to bring you a very special holiday to explore wonderful Iceland. If you have never walked on a glacier before this is your time to try something new. We also soak in a Secret Lagoon, walk in ice caves and on hidden beaches. All guided by our local guide who will make sure you experience the magic that is Iceland. This is a good time to see the Northern Lights - although never guaranteed we can try!








SUMMARY
Dates: Wednesday March 1st to Monday March 6th 2023
Arrive by 16.00 and departure after 15.00 as we have a trip to the blue lagoon on your last morning
Local Guide: Saga from Viking Women or one of her women guides
Walking Grade: Goat 2 – these are easy/moderate winter walks ranging from 2km to 7km.The aim is to try an easy glacier hike and other low level walks. You need hiking boots but other equipment required will be provided.
Base: We will start in Reykjavik in the Exeter Hotel and stay in local hotels (Stracta and then Skaftafell ) as we journey to visit and walk in some of Icelands more incredible landscapes.
Price: £2366 per person for the holiday in your own room.
We have an offer to bring a women friend or partner at a price of £2,000 per person to share a room.

DETAILS
We like to bring new experiences to our guests and many women told us they would love to visit Iceland . We found an Icelandic woman who has set up her own company Viking Women and we believe we have the perfect partnership to bring you a holiday.
We will add more detail nearer the time but rest assured you will see the best that Iceland has to offer and on this trip you will have the chance to try things for the first time. Glacier Walking , hot spring soaking , ice caves and maybe northern lights which can be seen between September and April when the days are darker.
This is one of those special winter trips and we hope you will join us.

ITINERARY
This is the planned itinerary but will be flexible depending on weather and the advice from our guide. More detail will be available nearer the time.
Arrival Wednesday March 1st – check into hotel and settle in. See some of the city sights. Suggest arriving by 4pm latest. You will be met at the airport and taken to your hotel.
Day 1. Depart Reykjavík in the morning and visit the Golden Circle; Þingvellir National Park, Geysir hot spring and Gullfoss waterfall. Have lunch at Friðheimar greenhouse and then relax in the oldest pool of Iceland, Secret Lagoon. Spend the night in a cozy hotel in the south of the island.
Day 2. Visit Seljalandsfoss in the morning and Skógarfoss afterwards. Experience a glacier walk on Sólheimajökull glacier. This is an incredible experience and could be your once in a lifetime walk. Approx 5-6km and 3 hours walking in total with 1.5 hours on ice.Elevation is about 150m. After lunch we will visit the Black Sand Beach and stay at a hotel nearby the Glacier Lagoon.
Day 3. Ice cave tour in the morning and then visit the Glacier Lagoon and the Diamond Beach. Short walk by Fjaðrárgljúfur canyon, an easy 2-3 km walk and elevation is 70-80 meters.After our walk we head back to Reykjavík in the afternoon.
Day 4. Snæfellsnes peninsula day tour. Stay another night in Reykjavík. Goodbye dinner.
Day 5. Monday March 6th Departure day. Blue Lagoon visit before dropping off at Keflavík airport,Reykjavik.
