DETAILS
Two million people a year visit Manchester – one of England’s most visited northern cities. We decided it is time to include this cultural, fun, historic city in the WalkingWomen holiday Programme. We want to help women discover a side of places that is sometimes hidden – the side that showcases and celebrates the lives of women that have helped shape the space.
Manchester has women artists, actors, entrepreneurs, designers, writers, musicians, sportswomen and so much more. Our guide Emma Fox will guide you around her city to tell you stories whilst you walk. You will walk the urban streets as well as the green spaces of the city to see the variety that makes up Manchester.
You will also eat and drink in interesting places run by women and on Saturday night we have taken over a private cinema to watch a full length film plus a short film about women walking and have an evening meal together.
If you need a little fun and excitement for a March weekend this may be just the thing.
