A beautiful 7 mile walk in the land Wainwright famously fell in love with. We hope you will too. A chance to stretch your legs and get a taste of the higher Lakeland landscapes. All in the company of our local guide Alvina. Also the photographer.

Meeting Point: Windermere Railway Station pick up and return there.
Price:£30 per person for the day. Please bring packed lunch and drinks.
DETAILS
This 7 mile walk starts by heading up to the view point, Orrest Head where Wainwright famously fell in love with the Lake District. Beyond Orrest we first walk through rolling farm land but then head over to Applethwaite common. This fell area will give you a taste of the higher Lakeland landscapes, but we only rise up to 250m and will go slowly to allow everyone to enjoy. The return track gives a fabulous view over the valley before the final woodland track to Windermere.
