We have some tremendous treks this year for our adventurous walking women. Our most epic is the Lighthouse Way with one day being 20 miles/32 km. So we are introducing some opportunities to try this distance together with a guide. For anyone who fancies it! Join us round the beautiful iconic Ullswater lake in the english Lake District with our guide Alvina. We have 2 dates Saturday 15th June and Saturday July 6th - both on the website so do book on the one that suits.

Date: Saturday July 6th 9am to 18.00 – we suggest allowing until 19.00.

Guide: Alvina Labsvirs

Walking Grade: Goat 3 – this is a trek training walk. A distance of 20 miles/32 km which is the longest day on the Lighthouse Way. Overall it has 1077 metres/3,533ft  of ascent and the maximum hill height is 357metres/1171 feet.

Highlights: Provides a scenic long distance walk with fabulous views. You may also have time if you stay longer for a paddle steamer trip on the Lake.

Base: We suggest staying the weekend if you can. Pooley Bridge is right on Ullswater Lake and we recommend The Crown Inn

Penrith is also an option with good transport links with its train station with direct services to London. There is The George Hotel, a Premier Inn and several B and B’s.

Arrivals: You would need to arrive to start the walk 9am on the Saturday so we do recommend arriving the night before.

Departures: You could do this in a day and leave around 7pm ish but you may want to relax together at the end of the day and stay another night.

Price: £35 per person for the days guiding. We will also help advise on accommodation and help with your organisation.
