Lizzie Mills

Lizzy grew up in Lincolnshire, and going walking and horse riding in the wolds grew her love for the outdoors. Her passion for the outdoors, nature and travel has continued whilst she has been fortunate enough to live in many beautiful parts of the UK – Cotswolds, Quantocks, New Forest and now the Peak District.

She was a teacher & Head of Sixth Form for over 12 years, fitting Mountain leader & expedition work in during her spare time. It was whilst working in education that Lizzy really came to understand the benefits of getting outside for her own mental wellbeing. Since leaving teaching to focus on Mountain Leadership, Lizzy has led walks in the UK & all over the world, from Everest Base Camp to the Arctic Circle trail in Greenland. She has also trekked & travelled extensively herself, from hiking in remote regions of Norway, winter mountaineering in the High Atlas mountains and hut to hut husky sledding in Sweden.

Lizzy is a qualified Mountain Leader, Nordic Walking Instructor, Navigation tutor, First Aid Trainer, and is qualified in Mental Health First Aid. She is an avid hiker, climber and horse rider.
