We are committed to making the booking process as simple as possible for customers. To book your holiday, please visit Find My Holiday to browse our holidays.

  • Click the Book Now button if you would like to go ahead and book. You will be asked for your bank card details and a deposit to secure your place on the holiday.

You will also be asked to provide guest information so please click on the link to add your information to the form and let us know what type of accommodation you require and click on the blue box to fill in the essential information we need. It is critical we know as much about your health, fitness and requirements so we can inform Partners, guides and yoga instructors to make sure you can gain the most from your experience.

Our holidays have one price for the package offered on the individual walking holiday. What is included is made clear in the holiday information.

We do offer some discounts for sharing rooms, multi-holiday bookings and sometimes where there are larger groups. Information will be provided before final confirmation of your booking and invoices adjusted to take account of the discount. We require a £200 deposit immediately to reserve your place and full payment 10 weeks  before your holiday. You will be reminded 11 weeks before. For our higher value holidays over £1,500 we do ask for a bigger deposit of up to 25%. This will be made clear at the time of booking.


What you are paying for

The price is for your holiday and includes a programme of walks, an experienced guide and accommodation. Accommodation is usually on a Bed and Breakfast basis with packed lunches included and a welcome dinner on the first night(not including drinks). Some holidays are fully inclusive of all meals either at the hotel or at local restaurants. Our overseas holidays do not always include a packed lunch as holidays might include lunches in restaurants or self made packed lunches from breakfast or from shops locally.

What is included is detailed on each holiday’s information page and in the information pack which is sent out to you prior to your departure. Where it is an overseas holiday airport welcome and transfers are usually included.

We pay all our guides proper wages based on industry standards. We are committed to supporting women to train,develop and have a career as city, lowland and mountain guides. This is a wonderful lifestyle profession but currently there are a minority of women guides.We support addressing this. We also support local economies by working with local partners,local guides and local women run businesses. Our prices include having experienced guides and sometimes an additional support WalkingWomen representative where required. All detail is on our holiday summary page and provided in your pre holiday information pack.

We do not penalise those travelling alone by charging a single booking supplement. Each customer is paying for the experience which includes an ensuite bedroom. The only time this is not the case is where we are hiking in remote areas, on safari or staying in mountain huts.

Types of rooms available are in each holiday’s information details, and we aim to have the same rooms available for single occupancy, or sharing as twin or double. This is not always possible as we use small hotels, but it will be clear what you can expect in the booking information. Please note, advertised accommodation may be subject to change by our accommodation partners but we do our utmost to avoid this.

Please state on your booking form what rooms you require. Sometimes our accommodation partners charge a single room supplement but we try to discourage this – it will be clear when booking.

We have a range of discounts available and these will be indicated where applicable, before the final confirmation and payment. We are available on the phone to discuss any questions.


What to pay and when to pay it:

Please note that your booking is provisional until we confirm we have received your deposit payment.

  • £200 deposit to secure booking. The deposit is up to 25% on some of our international holidays over £1,500.
  • The BALANCE of the holiday cost should reach us 10 weeks before the holiday starts. We will send a reminder the week before. Please pay your balance promptly. Do contact us with any problems you might have.


How to pay:

  • Online Via Stripe (Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Discover & Diners, Japan Credit Bureau (JCB) China Union Pay (CUP)). This is our preferred method.

If you are sending payment from outside the UK please check with your bank to ensure we receive the correct amount into our account. Your bank may charge fees.


Travel Insurance

Adequate travel insurance is mandatory for all our holidays and is a condition of booking.
It includes protection in case you are ill or have to cancel for other reasons, even on UK holidays. If you choose to travel without adequate insurance cover we will not be liable for any losses.

For single, couples and groups all over the world, with medical coverage for walking and more extreme pursuits.

If you are travelling from a country outside the UK we can help advise on insurance via our UK based company.

Cancellation Policy

We are always open to discuss difficulties you may have if your circumstances change  and you can no longer go on your booked holiday so please call. We recommend insurance to cover cancellation.

  • If we have to cancel your holiday due to Coronavirus, or other reasons, we will refund your money or transfer it to another trip.
  • If you cancel your trip we will not be able to refund your deposit as this covers costs we have already incurred. If you cancel your trip up to 10 weeks before the holiday starts we will aim to refund or move you to another holiday. After this time we will not be able to refund unless we can resell your place. We will discuss options with you.
  • We cannot adjust the basic price of the holiday if you arrive late, have to leave early, or if you decide not to walk on one or more of the days. With our overseas holidays, we cannot accept responsibility if you miss your flight.
  • We reserve the right to cancel, reschedule or change an advertised walk for reasons of safety, or to change the advertised guide. The decision of the WalkingWomen guide running the holiday has to be final in matters of safety, route choice, inclusion of dogs other than Assistance dogs, and questions as to the composition of the walking group if you have chosen a grade that is well beyond your capability. We expect customers to take responsibility for having the required fitness for the walk they choose. Our guidance is there to assist.

Important Notes:

  • We have endeavoured to make sure that the contents of this website are correct at the time of going to print. However, we reserve the right to make changes to holiday details should it become necessary. Sometimes our partners increase prices after we have advertised the holiday and we need to change the price. We will not do this if we have customers booked on without discussion. If  WalkingWomen cancels the holiday you’ve booked, we will refund all the money you have paid to us.
  • Tipping Guides is often asked about. There is no expectation to tip guides as this is a paid role. However on some of our overseas holidays like our Turkish Cruise the crew would usually get some tips . However, it is down to the discretion of each individual. Some guides will suggest you donate to a chosen charity if you are keen to show your appreciation. We will make it clear what is the norm in our pre departure information packs.
