Incredible India – Lower Himalayas

Earlier this year we joined Sheetal from Rainbow Journeys for an incredible journey through the lower Himalayas of the Kumaon Region of India. To walk through the lush,vibrant forests and stop to have tea,or share fresh fruit,with local villagers was something unique and very special. We saw leopards, elephants, heard tigers and a myriad of birds.We ate amazing fresh local food and drank a juice made from red rhododendrons that nourishes the heart. This is for those with a good level of fitness and ready for an incredible adventure. In the words of a well travelled guest “ This was a unique holiday,a real adventure and not for the faint hearted. I absolutely loved every minute of it”

Keep moving all year round and come and join us for 2 days of lovely pennine walking in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire. A chance to test out how you feel doing walks at this level with your experienced guide Jo making sure the pace is right and giving supportive encouragement as you go!  There will be hills (taken at a gentle pace), some rough ground and a few stiles. You can use the walks to help you get fit for a walking holiday, to meet one of our guides, or to see how you might feel joining a walking women holiday! or just come to have bracing walks with a group of women. You can join for one or two days at £30 per day.

BBC Radio host, Nihal Arthanayake explored the area starting in Arnside. The coast and countryside were lovely and it didn't disappoint. It's been so long since I've seen the coast and the views were beautiful. This was as good as any WW holiday I've been on (and I've been on many). Many women tell us they would like more help before choosing a holiday - especially on hills! Box Hill , Surrey is a great way to do a long walk of 4 - 6 hours with a small climb to reach the top with its lovely view across the Downs and even out to sea on a clear day. Our partner charity Kids for Kids is based in Surrey and a % of every day walk goes toward buying goats for women in Sudan.

We return again to this beautiful spot in southern Spain.There is so much to discover from our base at our women run hotel in the white village of Capileira. Last year the group discovered the mountains,the local food, the local wine and joined in with Flamenco. Amazing views even to Africa on a clear day. The walks follow traditional paths between villages, along riversides and around valleys. For those who would like a mountain there is the option to climb the local mountain of Mulhacen - a steady smooth ascent with incredible views from the top. Last year we worked with Alison and in October 2024 she is leading another wildlife experience - a wonderful mix of game drives during the day and night and walking across the African Plains. Being a photographer she is also happy to share her techniques with you. Adventures in Andalucia – the Autumn Alpujarras

We return again to this beautiful spot in southern Spain.There is so much to discover from our base at our women run hotel in the white village of Capileira. Last year the group discovered the mountains,the local food, the local wine and joined in with Flamenco. Amazing views even to Africa on a clear day. The walks follow traditional paths between villages, along riversides and around valleys. For those who would like a mountain there is the option to climb the local mountain of Mulhacen - a steady smooth ascent with incredible views from the top.
