We have started holidays to the beautiful island of Bute, Scotland. Just off the coast from Glasgow and one of the most accessible Scottish Islands. It’s a hidden gem with fantastic hiking with its West Island Way which spans 35 miles around the island. You can explore every inch.
If you fancy a break to explore yourself, or you fancy staying on for extra days after your WalkingWomen trip, we recommend the Highlander House B and B Highlander House
Run by Gus and Sherri it has beautiful views over Rothesay Bay, spacious rooms with the best beds and sheets, coffee and tea facilities in your room ( and little cake treats that just appear! ) The breakfasts are scrumptious with a wide range of choice – the local smoked trout is delicious and for meat eaters you can’t beat the Lorne Square Sausage, Haggis and local black pudding.
Homemade rose was also constantly filled up in our bedroom mini fridge. This attention to detail makes this a special place.
