Join us for an autumn day walk and pub lunch. We walk along the Thames Path from Staines to Shepperton Lock taking in the sights and sounds of this Surrey neighbourhood. It is also a chance to stretch your legs and to hear more about WalkingWomen in 2022. Please book online or call on 01784 664063

SUMMARY

Date:  Saturday October 15th 11.30 – 4pm

Guides: Ginny

Walking Grade: 1 Goat approx 8 miles/13km on flat easy path. It is easy to shorten the route if it is needed.

Meeting Point: 11.30am Staines Railway Station, Gresham Road side or on the bank of the River Thames on the tow path nearest St Peter’s church. We will walk towards Shepperton Lock so we can pick up on the tow path along the way. Just let us know.

Price: £30 per person to include a one course pub lunch in a local river side pub on our route.

Not included is drinks – please bring plenty of water.

DETAILS

We walk along the Thames Path from Staines to Shepperton Lock with a detour to explore Penton Hook Island before continuing along past Laleham, Chertsey Meads and on to Shepperton Lock. A lovely riverside walk along part of the iconic River Thames Path.

We can return to Staines along the same path or take the ferry across from Shepperton Lock to Weybridge and walk to Weybridge Train Station.

This is a relaxed autumn walk to stretch your legs and come and hear more about WalkingWomen in the company of other women.
