Walking Grade: We are calling this ‘ a bit of everything ‘ as this is a week in a wonderful Norwegian hotel with easy slopes to find your cross country legs, with longer trails for those with experience, with snow shoeing, dog sledding and facilities to simply chill. This is a winter wonderful experience to enjoy with other like minded women.

Base: Venabu Fjellhotell in the Venabygdsfjellet plateau on the edge of the Rondane National Park. A wonderful family run hotel known for its excellent food and the quality of activities right from the door. It is the place for peace and tranquillity and it has been known as a piece of paradise! Spa facilities and massage available.

Arrivals: The hotel is approx 3 hours from Oslo Gardermoen Airport and a group airport transfer is included with pick up at  14:00 on Saturday Feb 28th. You need to be at the airport to catch this transfer.

If you prefer to travel under your own steam it is a straight journey on the train via Lillehammer to Ringsbu where a taxi from the hotel can pick you up. This will be at your own cost.

Arrive approx 17.00 in time to settle in before a briefing and your evening meal.

Departures: The return will be after breakfast on Saturday March 7th at approx 9:00 to arrive at the airport at 12:30 so book late afternoon flights on Saturday 7th.

Some people add on a night or two, either before or after the holiday, in Oslo. It is a lovely city for a stop over and we recommend the Thon Opera Hotel right next to the central station. Or you might like a stop over in Lillehammer.

Some guests have travelled overland and this is an adventurous option. We can advise on travel.

If you are coming with a partner or friend there is £150 per person discount for sharing a room.Price £1,849 per person.

DETAILS

Your holiday is in the wonderful wilderness of the Rondane National Park. An ideal base for cross country skiing and other winter activities.

The Park was established in 1962 as Norway’s first national park. Wild reindeer have roamed here for centuries and with any lick you may see some.

Rondane is known for its wonderful winter light with stunning pink mornings and vast blue skies.

We are pleased to bring you this new destination in Norway.

ITINERARY

This holiday is about choice, flexibility and experiencing a range of snowy Norwegian activities. It is about relaxing and having saunas and massages and a chance to wind down and be revived and refreshed. We want you to feel pampered and energised.

Breakfast is served from 7:00 and your activities will start from 9:30. You will have a choice of varying levels of cross country skiing.

There will be options to try snow shoeing  and winter hiking during the week,

There is also a dog sled ride to experience a different way of travelling around!

There is an ice dip hole in the lake for those adventurous ice dippers!
