By popular demand our Tulip’s in Amsterdam Trip is back. This is a fabulous Goat 1 experience with the lovely local guides Eva and Sarah - you can be sure you will have fun on this small group trip exploring their Holland and of course TULIPS!
SUMMARY

Walking Grade: Goat Level 1 – walks will be up to 14km/8.6 miles. All very flat and at a steady pace. This holiday is to walk to discover the varied landscape of Holland whilst also spending time visiting some cultural attractions.
Highlights: wide variety of walks and landscapes, tulips! Varied landscapes and quintessential Dutch heritage sites, a boutique hotel in Amsterdam to end your day, great Dutch food.
Base: We stay at a lovely boutique hotel in Amsterdam as our base. We chose this hotel as it is a fabulous place to stay and easy to get to all the sights. Plus after WWII the hotel grew when Lily Meijer, an actress bought and converted buildings to become the ApolloFirst Hotel
From here we will discover the tulip fields, the coast as well as he low lands and the forests of the Netherlands
Arrivals: We suggest arriving into Amsterdam by 14.00ish on Wednesday April 29th.
For those flying you arriving into Amsterdam Schiphol and take the short trip into Amsterdam city centre by train. We will meet you at the airport to accompany you if you can arrive for a 14.00 group meet up.
If you arrive earlier/later at the airport , or by train, ferry we will give you instructions for getting to your hotel. You may want to extend your stay and we can help with that too.
Departures: From Amsterdam on Sunday May 3rd – we suggest travelling after 14.00 to give you a morning for free time to explore more of Amsterdam.
Price: £2500 per person solo occupancy or £2,100 per person if you bring a friend/partner and are sharing a room.

DETAILS
This trip is a special small group tour to show you the best sights and excursions in Holland, often off the beaten track. And this in the middle of Tulip season!
For such a small country, the landscape is extremely diverse. From high sand dunes along the coast to the ancient woods of the Veluwe, from moors and hills formed in the ice age to grassland, rivers, and canals in the lowlands.
You will visit the capital city of Amsterdam, the inland lowlands, the sea as well as a variety of cultural heritage sights along the way. You are sure to try some cheese, see a windmill and by the end will surely be in love with this country!
ITINERARY
The itinerary is to give an example and may change depending on weather, tides and at the discretion of our guides. You will be briefed each day by your guide so you always know of any changes. We send reminders on your What’s App Group too.
Each night you will be at the Hotel ApolloFirst with breakfast included.
Day 1
- 14.00 Arrival and free afternoon in Amsterdam
- 18.00 Welcome briefing and dinner.
Day 2
- 9.30am Pick up for today’s tour
Hike among the tulip fields North of Amsterdam along the coast!. This hike goes along the beautiful commercial tulip fields and loops back through the dunes with a magnificent view of the fields from above! We’ll have a late lunch on the beach and will head back to Amsterdam for a canal cruise int he later afternoon.
- 19.00 Dinner in Amsterdam.
Day 3
- 9.30am Pick Up In the morning we hike 12 km in National Park Hoge Veluwe, looking for Red Dear and wild boar. This ancient area combines open moors with heather and deep dark woods.
- After lunch we visit the Kröller-Müller Museum (with the second largest collection of Van Gogh in the world)
- 19.00 Dinner
Day 4
- 9.30am Today we will hike the low lands! Land that was reclaimed from the sea centuries ago, we’ll walk through authentic fishing villages on the Ijsselmeer coast and visit the iconic Zaanse Schans Windmills in the afternoon.
- Evening – visit the famous Anne Frank museum in Amsterdam.
Day 5
- 10am – guided historic walk in Amsterdam, we will end our holiday with a food tasting lunch at the Albert Cuyp market.
