Katy lives in the Lake District, although originally from London, and was brought up travelling to visit family in Europe and USA. She has continued to travel, finding adventures in new places around the world. Hiking in the mountains of Europe, New Zealand, South & North America.
She had a career in environmental education and now enjoys leading groups to Iceland, the Azores and beyond. She is particularly interested in the geology and geography of the landscape she travels though, taking time on foot to appreciate the micro and macro scales.
Katy loves to hike, ski and swim and is fortunate to have the Lake District on her doorstep.
With a passion for the outdoors, she loves to share her knowledge and enthusiasm for the landscape and natural world.
