A love of mountains and the outdoors was ingrained in me from an early age.  I grew up in the Lake District.  My mother took us up the hills and my father messed about in boats with us. Though I moved away for many years I’ve eventually come back to live and work part time as a teacher and part time as a Mountain Leader.  My life and travels have taken me from Bhutan to Peru and many places in between.  I’ve hiked as many hills in far off places as I can.  I’m a keen photographer and my camera goes everywhere with me as I record my travels on my blog. My most recent adventure has been hiking through the hills of Albania, Kosovo and Montenegro.  Beautiful mountains unspoilt by the trappings of modernisation.  The pull of our Lakeland fells always remains and when I’m back here I realise how lucky I am.
